Richard M. Ewaniszyk

Mr. Ewaniszyk was first admitted to practice law in 1982 and he lived and raised his family in the High Desert since 1986. He has successfully represented hundreds of clients each year suffering from serious and catastrophic personal injuries. Many of these cases involve crippling injuries to the spine after automobile accidents. The major injuries include severe burns, limb fractures, paralysis, such injuries, traumatic brain injuries and complex regional pain syndrome.

He has retained some of the top experts in the Country to prove liability, establishing damages including medical injuries and lost wages, lost earning capacity, post and future loss of household services and damages from pain and suffering. Not all of our client’s injuries are as severe and catastrophic as others, but we strive to get fair and just compensation for each case. If we cannot settle the case fairly, then we will try the case to achieve justice for our clients.

Mr. Ewaniszyk continues to practice as a Criminal Defense Attorney, he has he has assisted families when children are facing Juvenile Court proceedings. He has represented clients facing every type of criminal charge from simple assault and DUI’s to serious and violent felonies, including murder, during his extensive career. He is well respected by the Courts and opposing counsel. He will use his investigators and staff to diligently pursue all avenues in defense for his clients and to achieve a just result. Over the years, he has helped clients get referred and treated with the collaborative Courts to assist with alcohol and drug addition, mental health conditions and to help Veterans suffering from PTSD depression and other conditions that mitigate their offences. As a United States Army Veteran, Mr. Ewaniszyk has a special connection to the Veterans in our community.

Mr. Ewaniszyk has tried many cases in both Federal and State Courts during his extensive career. He has been trusted to serve as Counsel to Attorneys and Judges in professional ethics and disciplinary matters to help save their careers. He has served on The Board of Directors for The Other Bar, a statewide network of lawyers helping lawyers and Judges with chemical dependency issues for over 30 years. He also served on the California State Bar Lawyers Assistance Program from 2003-2006 and served as it’s Chairman for one term. He is passionate about helping his clients find treatment and recovery from chemical dependency and mental health conditions.

Mr. Ewaniszyk previously served for five years as the City Attorney for the City of Adelanto. He assumed the position of City Attorney in the midst of endless litigation brought about by the war over George Air Force Base, by the ongoing water rights adjudication and by numerous civil rights lawsuits pending in both State and Federal Courts. He received a resolution in his honor from the City of Adelanto and expressed their gratitude for his years of services. He continues to enjoy the respect of his colleagues and is highly regarded by the local judiciary.
